Afrobeat singer, Ayra Starr recently had a major setback during her time in Manchester. She was stuck in an elevator for hours and she made a video of the whole time she spent there through a live Instagram session.
The singer was on her way to perform at a concert in Eccles Lighthouse Venue in Manchester when the incident occurred.
The elevator her and her team were riding in suddenly stopped working and they were unable to get out. Videos of the incident shows an understandably distressed Ayra Starr, panning the camera to show the crowd of people packed in the elevator as everyone tried to figure a way to get out.
Nevertheless, Ayra Starr’s spirit was not dampened as she managed to lighten up the mood by playfully joking around and entertaining everyone stuck in the elevator. Ayra Starr even mentioned that a Jamaican singer, Popcaan had promised to storm the venue and rescue them. Although help eventually came, the incident was enough to make Arya Starr miss her concert.
