Dino Melaye Tackles Peter Obi After Confrontation At Townhall Meeting

Spokesperson of the Atiku/Okowa Presidential campaign and former Kogi West Senator, Dino Melaye, has reacted to being confronted by Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, at a presidential town hall meeting hosted by the Arise News Channel in conjunction with the Center for Democracy and Development (CDD) in Abuja.

The confrontation came after the former federal lawmaker kept describing Peter Obi’s supporters as ‘noisemakers’ and also continued to interrupt the presidential candidate speech with snide remarks and gestures.

Recating to Peter Obi’s warning, and saying he had taken enough from him in the meeting, Dino Melaye in a new video shared on Twitter, said the Labour Party presidential candidate acted in an unpresidential manner with his outburst.

The Kogi born politican further insisted that he did nothing wrong to warrant the outburst and that Peter Obi couldn’t have heard whatever he was saying from where he sat.

Also puncturing Obi’s claim of the alleged noisemaker being a member of ANPP, Melaye stated that the party is defunct as it merged with other political parties in 2015 to form the All Progressive Congress (APC).

Melaye also demanded an apology from the Labour Party presidential candidate, adding that his outburst shows that he can slap his ADC. He further claimed that Obi was flustered by the calm nature of the People’s Democratic Party Vice Presidential candidate, Ifeanyi Okowa, who represented the party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar at the event.
