A former governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, sacked his Personal Assistant Admin, Special Duties and former Special Assistant on Stomach Infrastructure, Sunday Anifowose for voting an ex-vice president, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, in the just concluded PDP party primaries on Saturday. Atiku Abubakar emerged as the presidential candidate for the party just again on Sunday for the second time after having previously emerged in 2019.
Atiku Abubakar, defeated 12 other candidates in the just concluded presidential primary held at Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja. Out of the 764 accredited votes, Mr. Abubakar won 371 votes while his closest contestant , Nyesom Wike, the governor of Rivers State came second with 237 votes.
The ex-governor is angry with some delegates from Ekiti State who voted for Atiku, against his choice. It was learnt that Fayose sent a SOS message to some of his supporters that Sunday Anifowose should never be seen close to his NTS Hotel at Ado Ekiti henceforth for daring to go against him.
The ex-governor is still making his findings to ascertain the number of delegates from Ekiti State that flouted his order, but since Sunday Anifowose’s vote is already confirmed, Fayose has sworn to deal with him seriously for betraying him. Sources relayed that the ex-governor verbally molested and harassed Sunday on Saturday evening at the Abuja hotel, where the state delegates were lodged.
Reliable sources have confirmed that Sunday had started moving his belongings out of Fayose’s hotel at GRA, Onigaari, Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State on Tuesday morning.
