Kendrick Lamar is set to drop his highly anticipated project titled “Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers” album, released on May 13th 2022.
The rapper made this known via a tweet in response to a fan asking him if he had retired. Lamar tweeted a link that takes users to his website with a letter headed message from PGLang record label affirming his new album.
Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers is Kendrick Lamar’s fifth and final studio album with Top Dawg Entertainment. TDE founder and CEO Anthony Tiffith teased fans during a May 2020 Instagram Live, saying “Stay patient” and “King Kendrick will return soon.”
Lamar describes “Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers” as a deep reflection on what matters the most in an ever-changing world while he writes in appreciation of Top Dawg entertainment ‘‘May the Most High continue to use Top Dawg as a vessel for candid creators. As I continue to pursue my life’s calling. There’s beauty in completion. And always faith in the unknown. Thank you for keeping me in your thoughts. I’ve prayed for you all. See you soon enough.’’
The album features the likes of Beth Gibbons, Sampha & Tanna Leone.
