American rapper, singer Taurus Tremani Bartlett, known professionally as Polo G came through with this song he titled “Wishing For A Hero”.
“Wishing For a Hero” is the final track of Polo G’s sophomore album, THE GOAT. The track samples and draws lyrical inspiration from 2Pac’s classic song “Changes.” Polo G speaks on the same subject matter as his predecessor, mainly the oppression of African-Americans in America, especially by the police. He references civil rights activists Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcolm X.
The track is produced by Father-Son duo The Superiors and features vocals from fellow Chicago native BJ The Chicago Kid.
