American pop rock band from Las Vegas, Nevada, consisting of lead singer Dan Reynolds, guitarist Wayne Sermon, bassist Ben McKee, and drummer Daniel Platzman better known by their stage name Imagine Dragons came through with this song labeled “Wrecked”.
“Wrecked” is the third single off Imagine Dragons’ fifth studio album Mercury – Act 1. The emotional rock ballad was written by Dan Reynolds shortly after the passing of his sister-in-law Alisha Reynolds who battled cancer for about an year.
A snippet of the song and music video was teased on the band’s social media on June 29th, 2021. The song was registered to BMI a month earlier in April.
However, the song was officially released on July 2, 2021.
