The Catholic Priest Who Was Abducted From Christ The King Catholic Church, Yadin Garu In Kaduna, Has Been Found Dead
Rev. Fr Johnmark Cheitnum, a Catholic priest at Christ the King Catholic Church, Yadin Garu, Lere LGA, Kaduna State has been found dead after some days of his abduction.
Surprisingly, the priest had made a post on his Facebook page prior before his abduction, stating what to expect during the elections. The post has circulated the internet after the priest was reportedly killed by his abductors in Kaduna State.
Rev. Fr. Cheitnum and his colleague, Rev. Fr. Donatus Cleopas, were kidnapped by terrorists at the rectory of Christ the King Catholic Church, Yadin Garu in Lere Local Government Area of Kaduna on Friday, July 15, 2022.
Sadly, the decomposing body of the priest was discovered at a farm in a nearby village on Tuesday, July 19, while Fr. Cleopas, escaped from the abductors.
On July 10, 2022, the killed priest had taken to his official Facebook page to write : “2023 Election is going to be between Nigerians vs The Enemies of Nigeria. Obi-diently Nigerians will WIN.”
