The actress, who is running as deputy guber candidate under the African Democratic Congress (ADC), disclosed this while speaking in a recent interview with BBC News Pidgin when she was asked whether she’d be returning to her acting career after the election.
In her word:
”I no really dey film like that again, you know e don tey I don dey screen. No be say I don do like two films in 10 years you no go tell me say I dey industry anymore. Always appreciate that it was the industry that my path started from, that my first shine started from, it is something that I respect, but it’s not something that has been in my life. So even after the election no be something I go still go back to.”
She also commended her colleagues, Funke Akindele and Banky W, who have also been active in politics.
She said:
”It’s not easy for them being where they are and putting yourself out there to effect change because criticism and so many things are involved. I believe in Funke, I believe in Banky. These two people…. I can hold to something and I say I believe that these people have a vision for the people.”
