Canadian rapper, singer, and record producer, Daystar Shemuel Shua Peterson, known professionally as Tory Lanez has finally released his highly anticipated project labeled “Alone On Prom”.
Alone at Prom is Tory Lanez’s 80’s capsule project, released on December 10, 2021. It marks Tory’s third release of the year, following up his NFT exclusive album, When It’s Dark, his July 2021 EP, We Outside, and his R&B capsule mixtape, Playboy.
To help promote the album, Tory used his 80s persona, Ashton Rain, to promote the album through his Twitter page, posting quotes from the persona. On his Instagram page, Tory posted a variety of throwback photos to help promote the album.
On September 30, 2021, Tory uploaded the album’s official trailer through his Instagram page, sharing a snippet of “On My Way”. Throughout October and November, two official promos were also released to help promote the album.
However, the album boasts production credit from; Bizness Boi, Blake Straus, boyband, Chaz Jackson, Foreign Teck, Fortune, Jet Stanley, Marcus Anderson, Nik Dean, Orlando tha Great, Roark Bailey, Ryland Blackinton, SSJ Mike, Tropics & Vikaden.
