The two sons of the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Ibrahim Tanko Muhammad, have emerged as the Senate and House of Representatives candidates of All Progressive Congress and Peoples Democratic Party in Bauchi State.
Siraj Ibrahim Tanko emerged as the APC candidate for Bauchi North, while his brother, Sani emerged as the PDP candidate for Shira/Giade federal constituency inBauchi State at the lower chamber of the National Assembly.
Siraj won 189 votes to defeat his opponents , including the incumbent senator, Adamu Bulkachuwa, who won no votes.
According to sources, the brothers are alleged to have access to public funds, distributed expensive cars to parties delegates before the primary election. They were said to have used their father’s position to employ members of their political parties to the Supreme Court, National Judicial Institute, Judicial Commission.
Another source also revealed that they distributed over 150 cars and was querying what jobs are they doing to have afforded such expensive cars. The CJN was also queried as to why he kept silent over his son’s corruption cases.
